BRAND NEW!!!
Our standard upper shaft for the Minelab Equinox includes 4 cuff-adjustment holes, and one hole for the control-box handle (in the same positions as the stock Minelab shaft). The shaft also includes a heavy duty, adjustable, removable clamping cam lock, and a rubber end cap.
“Steve’s” carbon-fiber upper shaft for the Minelab Equinox is a high-strength, durable shaft, made of top-quality 3K carbon fiber. The one-piece upper shaft replaces both the middle and upper shaft sections of the stock Minelab shaft, to provide a stiff, high-stability replacement that is 27% lighter than the stock shaft. The shaft includes four cuff-adjustment holes and one control-box handle hole, in the same positions as on the stock shaft.
In addition to the one-piece upper shaft, “Steve’s” carbon-fiber lower rods are also available – which can be combined with the upper shaft to permit complete carbon-fiber replacement of the Minelab stock shaft. The lower rod section is made of the same durable, 3K carbon fiber as the upper shaft, with rubber washers included (as well as a spring button, for “backwards compatibility” with Minelab’s stock middle and upper shaft).
Connection between the two shaft sections is secured via a heavy-duty, injection-molded lateral clamp-type cam lock, which permits fine tuning of the clamping tension via an adjustable thumb screw. Given the cam lock’s rock-solid clamping strength, the need for spring button holes in the upper shaft has been eliminated, offering not only a more streamlined look, but also offering quick, easy, and unlimited adjustments to lower rod extension length (instead of the fixed adjustment points, dictated by button hole locations). Overall, “Steve’s” shaft system offers a lightweight, durable, wobble-free replacement for the entire stock Minelab shaft, with the aesthetic appeal of carbon fiber at an affordable price.
