Not all things are created equal, you know that. New technology, new experiences, new frontiers and now you get to master them all.
Metal detectors used to work on a single frequency so that typically you could only a limited range of metals at one time. Small coins, fine jewelry and gold. lf you imagine a flash light that lit up only one color that's what you have. Then Minelab Multi-IQ got better and switchable multi-frequency protectors came about so you could find different types of treasure but you needed to know in advance what you were looking for. So you would have to manually switch our flash light to different colors before you could find our treasure. Good if you were psychic but not so effective for the rest of us. Now we have Minelabs Multi-IQ revolutionary technology. Running a simultaneous multi frequency detector that now can find any metal in any soil, anytime.
Minelabs imaginary multi IQ flashlight now lets us see the entire range of color. Every type of metal at one time. That is Minelabs multi IQ technology. No more digging around in the dark. You just seen into the future of metal Detecting. Affordable, effective, ingenious!
Minelabs Multi-IQ...... All metals....... all soils......... all the time!
Minelab, performance is everything.

The new lineup of entry-level but feature packed metal detectors & the cost of technology advancement
As we've seen over the last several months, the majority of metal detector manufacturers have shifted focus towards more aggressively priced entry level machines. Minelab introducing the new vanquish 340 440, 540 metal detectors and nokta makro introducing the simplex, all in the $200-500 price range sporting the latest and greatest technology from their respective developers.
While the lower to mid range start adopting the newer technology the more high end metal detectors use, that begs the question; where is the high end metal detector market is heading? Are we due a followup from the king of the high end, the CTX 3030? what do garrett currently have in the works to potentially dethrone the almighty AT Pro and AT Max lineup? What new technologies are the manufacturers working on for their mid to high end machines we've not yet heard of?
The Minelab Equinox 800 & Equinox 600 was the biggest shift in the market we've ever seen, a first, truly all purpose multi-frequency machine that can detect just as good on the beach as it can on old farm soil and everything in between, at a very affordable price point. When manufacturers implement this type of technology and make it affordable to all, the whole industry benefits, more competition is created and industry innovation rapidly increases.
2020 is going to be an amazing year for our hobby. The technology we've been seeing in our computers and phones has been making its way into our metal detectors and accessories at a much faster pace than in the past. Technology like Bluetooth, GPS, digital imaging etc have all seen integration into our hobby and tools over the last couple of years, metal detectors are getting smarter, headphones are getting lighter and less wires, even pointers are utilizing a lot of this new tech and we can't wait to see what next year brings to our industry!
If you have any questions about any of our metal detectors please don't hesitate to contact us and as always, happy hunting!
